Primetime Limited, producer of the National Science & Maths Quiz and its satellite programmes, the Mentorship Sessions and SciTech Fair, appreciates the outpouring of support during the month-long event. The support came from old students who thronged the competition venues to support their alma maters and others who donated various items and cash to their schools’ teams to aid in their preparation for the competition.
The support for this year’s edition also came from our many fans on social media who followed every single post we made about the event. Noteworthy also is the support we received from the media, with Citi 97.3 FM leading the way. with live broadcasts and insightful discussions about the competition.
In spite of the success of the NSMQ2017. the theft of Dr Elsie Effah Kaufmann’s handbag at the National Theatre is an unfortunate incident that seems to overshadow the immense effort that Primetime, as the owners of the programme, the 135 competing schools, the contestants and teachers, put into making this year’s edition the great success that it was.
We are working with the Police to find the culprit and bring him to book. As the owners and producers of the programme, we are determined that all necessary precautionary measures be taken to ensure this unfortunate incident does not happen again.
We would also like to show our appreciation to Ove bags for the lovely bags and to Cazabella designer costume jewellery for the beautiful piece of jeweller)’ presented to the quiz mistress, Dr Elsie Effah Kaufman on Monday, 3rd June 2017. to console her on the loss of her bag and its contents. We are also grateful to Dayans Eye Sendees for replacing the quiz mistress’ lost reading glasses. May God richly bless you for your kind gesture.
